Practical ways to improve the computer’s power supply can be done as follows:
- Disconnect the power supply from the box in order to facilitate check Cassing electronic circuits and disconnect all cables from other equipment. Open the power supply box, checking the physical electronic components, there may be unknown burning.
- Check the insert FUSE 220V AC external power source, disconnect it from soketnya FUSE and measure the safety wire connection with ohm-meter at the position X1. Remove the two transisitor 2SC3039 of PCBs and do inspection of each condition with a multimeter. If one transistor to replace damaged should be replaced with two new transistors, so guaranteed and symmetrical characteristics, the imbalance is characteristic of the two transistors causing voltage stability problems incurred DC power supply.
- Remove the diode brigde or four pieces of direct diode grader leveling the AC electric current in the insert, check the condition of this diode with multimeter. Sometimes it happens one of his diodes leak or short-circuit, so the AC electrical current to go in the switching circuit and disabling the entire power supply will power transistors were damaged, burned. Even if this diode leakage rate is very large, it will melt the switching transformer, wire peeled off, and connected short, this damage is most fatal.
