I’d just want one big moniter. Since the middle part would get in the way when your trying to play shooting games… rofl.

just haveing 4 monitors donst make a super omputer nany pc can handle upto like 8 monitors with ease now haveing a card able to run a 3,000,000×2,500,000 resolution monitor would be super as the proccesor power and graphics power to manage all of that would be so extensive you may just possibly need a hol desktop pc stuffed full with proccesors. not even the i7 can controll that.

I do a ton of software architecture and I regularly have 10 or more applications open at once. It’s great to have multiple monitors so I can have my IDE open on one side, testing scripts on a vertical-oriented monitor in the middle, and say.. my test server on the other side.

Multiple monitors isn’t for everyone, but for those of us with a real need, it’s invaluable.

There are programs that setup quadrants in the “large monitor”…. what’s the point of pixelating any single program across a 42” screen? Makes no sense unless it’s some form of media

1 large lcd monitor is still only really usefull for looking at one program. I use 3 monitors on my system and I would never give them up for one large one, because I often need to have multiple programs all up and running at once. Not to mention you can then run differnt color profiles on each monitor, which is invaluable when doing photography or any sort of video compositing.
However, if all you do is play games on it, then multiple monitors is a waste… go for the big one.

NICE! I love that the DVD you demo in the top left monitor is Brian Greene’s The Elegant Universe.

this is one expensive ass route… might as well purchase a 40” lcd

    those monitors 150×4 = 600 + 2x x= video cards
    whereas 1 40” monitor = 500
