Prototype on Radeon HD 4890 (HD)

Here’s a video on Prototype running on my ATI Radeon HD 4890 Sapphire 1gb. Settings are maxed out including Anti-Aliasing and its running at a resolution of 1440 x 900. Getting around 60fps + without Fraps running and 30 – 40fps with Fraps on. Gameplay is fun and intuitive and the moves are awesome to execute but graphic wise, I would like to believe that the console version looks a lot better. Textures look very low res and there are quite a lot of jagged edges even though Anti-Aliasing is maxed out in the game. I would rate it a 3.5/5 System specs: AMD Phenom II X4 940 @ 3.41ghz M4A79 Deluxe motherboard 4gb Crucial Balistixx RAM ATI Radeon HD Sapphire 4890 1gb 250gb Western Digital Blue Caviar 7200rpm hard drive 630 watts Raidmax power supply Window XP Professional 32bit Antec 1200 Programs used: Fraps Sony Vegas Pro 8.0

    @8izzi8

    Well this is DX9. Not DX10 so pretty much if you’re running a low resolution, for the most part a decent GPU should be able to run it okay.

    lol I have a VERY OLD graphic card (Nvidia Geforce 8500 GT)
    It looks exactly the same (the game prototype). And it doesn’t lag.
    So…I don’t know ^^

    i just made a new rig with an 965 x4 but only oced from 3,4 to 3,6 because i still got my old 4870 so it doesn’t really matters =P AMD FTW bang for the buck

    lol phenom is a lot more bang for ur buck than those intel i5 and i7 cpus, which is like an unnoticeable difference unless u actually do stuff like video rendering, but if u actually do that stuff, u need premium hardware anyways, so yeah.

    but for an average user, phenoms rock :P got myself a phenom II x4 925 @ 3.5 ghz :]

    Yes. For the most part, if you have a branded PSU and enough volts on your +12V rails, you should be fine.

    MinimeDrummerBoi – I have a question for you mate. i just build my first rig wich is Core i7(860) MSI PD65MOBO , 4gb ddr3 1000mhz , Hd 4890 XXX Version and a 800watt PSU. and i wanted to ask if i could add 1 card more without changing my PSU?

    Gotta love PC vs Console. I see in the PC version the framerate is alot better and everything seems to flow better. If only i had a good gaming PC

    Yes the 5770 is a little slower than the 4890, but in return you get a decent performing card with DX11 support.

    The HD 4890 is better than the 5770 in Games.
    The 5770 supports DX11, but the 4890 can simulate DX11, because it supports DX10.1
    The performance of the 5770 is in some games worse than a 9800GT. So I would go for a HD4890
