and btw falubii, even with a 16:9 screen there will still be black bars on the top and bottom, assuming u r watching a movie, because movies are recorded in a 21:9 ratio, thats why even when u watch it on a huge 16:9 hdtv, it still has black bars on top and bottom.

lol 16:9 is wider than 16:10 proportion wise…. wow, not taking sides, but u CFAMediav7 are an idiot -.- the ACTUAL width is the same, but since the screen on 16:10 is taller, when u look at it and when u measure it up, the 16:9 screen is wider because while it is the same width, the height are different -.- just do some math idiot, like some simple division XD 16:9 is a 1.77 ratio while 16:10 is a 1.6 ratio.

how can 16:9 be wider than 16:10.

16:9 means 16 across for every 9 up.
16 across for every 10 up, obviously 16:10 is the same HORIZONTALLY but not vertically.

You sir, are a fucktard. 16:9 is wider than 16:10 in proportion to its height, but is the same width in measure.

You’re a jackass. I won’t waste anymore of my time trying to explain how stupid you are. But before i block you, 16:9 is wider than 16:10, i suggest you go to wikipedia and do some research.
    Peace *blocked*

If 16:10 has a resolution of 1920×1200 and 16:9 has a resolution of 1920x 1080, you can conclude that they both share the same width (1920=1920), but 16:10 is taller (1200>1080).

You’re obviously very confused. If you play 16:10 on a 16:9 monitor there will be sections cut off because 16:10 is too large for 16:9 and the image would have to be scaled down. If you play 16:9 on a 16:10 monitor there will be sections cut off the top and the bottom because the image is smaller than 16:10. If you look at the resolutions both aspect ratio support that will also give you a hint. 16:10 usually has a resolution of 1920×1200, while 16:9 only has a resolution of 1920x 1080.

No, its you that doesn’t know what aspect ratio is.
16:9 is wider than 16:10. If you play a 16:10 video on a 16:9 tv/monitor you will get black bars on the left and right…why? Because 16:10 is NOT as wide as 16:9
Please go google the terms 16:9 16:10 and aspect ratio because you are very misinformed.

16:9 is not wider than 16:10. I don’t think you understand what an aspect ratio is.. 16:10 is the same width as 16:9, but it’s taller. I don’t like the super wide monitors with no height when I’m playing games.

    Why do you say that?
16:9 is wider than 16:10 and every video thats in widescreen usually is in 16:9, which means if watched on a 16:10 monitor….you get black bars on the top and bottom
