Super Capacitor Bedini SSG Lid motor

This is my latest SSG. Its a low voltage design that I’m testing super capacitors on. This video shows it running with a 5V /20 Farad capacitor bank. The charging circuit has been bypassed here to just show the motor running. The super caps are amazing. They charge and discharge differently than a battery. A recharge takes only seconds from a power supply but in the motor they charge up much slower. With a full charge they will run this motor about 10 min.

Also is it possible these winds generators are actualy haarp style antennas and the motor the torriod has me thinking? Does the power cone from ben kite and key or the prop?

    Hey there
Would you mind telling me how you charged the super caps? Did you just applyg straght DC from a wall transformer?

    Thanks so much
    Pat

@JimTheHermit They are 10F 2.5v caps. put two in parallel, and you get 20F @2.5v. He wanted 5v. Place two in series, and you half the capacitance, but double the voltage capability. Two sets of (2 in series = 5v@5F) in parallel with another set of two that are in series = 5v@double the capacitance = 5v@10F). Electronically, that is how it works, however, I am not sure if that is how he has it configured.

question: can i replace a CBB61 AC Metalized Polypropylene Capacitor from a SMC floor fan with another one ? for example a lower Voltage one . or slightly different uF.

the on i want to replace is a motor capacitor 1.5 uF with a tollerance of 5% 450V AC DB-C 50/6-HZ.
if not where can i find such a capacitor ? in a fridge , toaster maybe ? thank you have a nice day.

@Lidmotor –In parallel the pair is 20 farads. The 2 pairs in series turns it back to 10 farads. Uh, why did you do that?

Now to figure out how to double the hz

I figured it out ac to dc 5 volts dc negative to ground gives you 30 volts why its 5 x 60 hz
The ac side is being oscilated by the hz if you double the oscilations it will give 120 v 1w

because that would put him at 40 farads not 20, which may or may not burn out his circuit.

Oh Sorry before someone catches it
I have series and parallel cap form backwards here it is opposite from resistor configuration. Series caps is the resiprical of the sum of there resipricals and the V is the sum. Parellel is sum of the added F and the sum of the resiprical V.

Caps in parallel is the the total produce devided by the sum if there is (2) 10s will give a 5 but doubles the V rating. the opposite applies to Caps in series.
He maintains the Farad rating to 10 and increased the Voltage rating to about 5vdc
    Using his cap configuration

Excellent work Lidmotor. Do you subscribe to Panacea BOACF ? I let Andrew85 know I wanted to do just what you have done. You have my Email I believe. If not send me a PM. I want to talk with you about this circuit.

SSKYNETDUO— The caps are “super caps” rated at 10 farad each not uf. Two caps are soldered in parallel and the two pairs are then soldered in series.
