loool the lick @ 0:45 sounds like Dick Dale or Link Wray version of “Hangar 18″…Now I just try to bring together the two concepts of “Dave Mustaine” and “Surf Rock” to – a real mind bender, mind you . I guess we’ll probably end up with something like the Surfers of the Apocalypse…..but It sounds cool, far out man.

D’ont you wish Peter Stroud would would do all their demos? Real examples for a real player with solid tones and quwerky self-oscilation madness (mind-you he does’nt approach those tones a joke like other demos). Hopefully we’ll see him soon with the newer gear!

@diegomont406

@seb23490 They use the same exact Panasonic BB chip that are in the bigger units. Our newer Analog effects such as the Memory Boy, Memory Toy, And Deluxe Memory Boy have a different chip.

@diegomont406 because this model has been discontinued. the new models have a different chip inside which is considered by many to be of lesser quality to the old one, which is what makes the old models so special, and so damm expensive on ebay!.

Do the new ones with true bypass prevent you from using the preamp with gain ‘trick’ as shown at the end of the demo?

whenever i had to play at school with the school line6 spiders i used my DMM to warm it up. it did actually improve the horrible-ness of that amp.
i miss it. going to have to get a new (vintage) one soon.
#15 written by alexdldude October 21st, 2010 at 14:03
do you think this would sound good on a solid state amp too?

I’ve been floating around here listening to lots of delay pedals and i have to admit, this is THE analog delay pedal of choice. It just sounds like plush ear candy….and those sounds really have a life of their own….amazing…thanks for the great demo, made my mind up

try the pickup right before the bride and fingerpick/slap – that’s exactly what he was doing most of the time!

#19 written by RickyBrant15 October 21st, 2010 at 15:24

I don’t know if you know or not, but he’s Sheryl Crowe’s guitarist, and she can play herself. Yeah, he’s awesome.

I didn’t hear any Megadeth, and I know almost all their songs…
Except at one point it sounded a lil’ bit like the intro to Die Dead Enough, if that’s what you mean…
#25 written by AphoticAgony October 21st, 2010 at 18:21
He played megadeth and floyd lol
