System Memory Manager Monitor

We may experience a memory leak. Sometimes, when the software program is closed, this program does not remove the memory space that has been used, so that Windows does not know if there is memory space that can be used. It has become a bigger problem than in Windows 3.x to Windows 95/98, and this problem still appears.

The only way to handle this problem is to reboot the PC. And if we can find a program that is memory-consuming, we can just reinstall the program if it did not go well. Finding the source of the problem may be not easy. Fortunately, Windows 9x has a good diagnostic tool, the System Monitor, which every moment to check your PC’s performance (real time). To run System Monitor, go to the System Tools menu (select Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools).

If System Monitor is not there, install the program from the CD-ROM Windows 9x through the Add / Remove Programs in Control Panel. Select Numeric Charts and Always on Top from the View menu to place a small window on the desktop we. Then from the menu on the System Memory Manager Monitor (select Edit * Add Item * Memory Manager to access it), select the performance statistics we want to show. Look at the three-Unused indicators of physical memory, swapfile in use, and the swapfile size – when we opened, use and close different applications.

This will help We identify resource leaks. See also statistics from Threads, could we find on the Edit * Add Item * Kernel * Threads. His status will enlarge and shrink according to the number of programs running. If an increase does not care about anything that we do, we may experience leakage of resources.
